Standard System Alert Codes

The following are standard system codes that are defined by AfiFarm:

• Code 08 – Automatically assigned to calving cows to flag colostrum milk. The code is automatically removed after the colostrum period (defined in AfiFarm by the number of milking sessions).

• Code 05 – Automatically assigned to cows in dry status. The code is automatically removed after calving.

• Code 07 – NOT a system code, but is usually used to flag antibiotic milk.

The three codes mentioned above are high-level codes requiring milk separation, or NO milking in case of dry cows (Code 05).
